This 36" x 30" Diamond Series Galvanneal roof hatch is designed to reduce building energy costs with 1” of polyisocyanurate R6 insulation in both the curb and cover. The single wall curb with counterflashing is manufactured from 14 gauge galvannealed steel. The new embossed counterflashing design simplifies the installation process allowing you to secure to the roof membrane with minimal effort. The cover is formed from 14 gauge galvannealed steel, welded with a 22 gauge galvannealed steel liner, and tested to support a live load of 40psf. The cover is connected to the curb using a heavy duty clear zinc-plated steel pintle hinge that allows the door to open to 75 degrees, leaving the clear opening for the 36" x 30" roof hatch at 25" X 24". The hold open arm is automatic locking and can be released with one hand, allowing it to be in compliance with OSHA standards on one-handed operation on a ladder. The JL Industries part number RHDG-1RT-IW is a spring loaded roof hatch, it comes standard with counterbalanced compression springs contained in clear zinc-plated steel cylinders.
