Karp KAD Model doors are designed to provide access in walls and ceilings, while maintaining a clean and architecturally pleasing appearance. All hardware is hidden behind a gypsum inlay, accessible through a concealed mechanical touch-latch. The KAD Model door is completely removable providing unobstructed access in walls and ceilings
Provided by Industrial Hardware and Specialties is the Karp KAD 36 in. x 24 in. Aluminum Drywall Access Door. This 8" x 8" Concealed Aluminum Drywall Door consists of a 4-piece aluminum frame with a drywall inlay. The aluminum frame is 3/4" deep and designed to be concealed within 5/8" drywall. It's equipped with a free pivoting hinge, and a concealed mechanical touch-latch. For interior applications only. It is non-fire-rated, and non-watertight.

- Trim assembly shall be 4-piece aluminum extrusion
- Door assembly shall be 4-piece aluminum extrusion with drywall installed
- Depth of the Frame shall be 0.75" and is designed for 5/8" drywall with 0.125" compound applied at installation
- Gasketing between door and frame shall be 0.6" wide by 0.125" thick continuous gasket
- Door drywall insert shall be 5/8" thick
- Latch shall be concealed mechanical touch-latch
- Hinge shall be free pivoting hinge
- Finish shall be unpainted mill-finish aluminum
- Door assembly can be completely removed for maximum clearance
- Safety cable must be installed to connect door and frame assembly
