What is a C-Clamp?

A C-Clamp is a type of clamp device typically used to hold a wood or metal workpiece. C-Clamps are normally made from steel or cast iron. It is shaped like a C with a threaded hole at the bottom through which a threaded screw protrudes. On one end of the screw is a flat end for securing the bottom of the wood or metal. The other end features a metal bar, which is used to make tightening the clamp easier.
